WHO WE ARE

The Miami County Home Builders Foundation is a Miami County based 501 c3 charitable organization. The Miami County Home Builders Foundation was officially formed in 1998 but was a vision of Forrest Archer many years prior to inception.  Mr. Archer’s vision was first and foremost to assist students looking to pursue a career in the building trades further their education, whether it be in a trade school or formal college education.  His ideals included financial assistance for tuition or tools if needed if the student was entering a vocational school or an apprenticeship program.  His hope was for those students helped by the Foundation to one day contribute back to the Foundation so the cycle of help could continue.  After Mr. Archer’s death in 1997, Mrs. Archer donated the property on the corner of Archer Drive and Peters Road and the Forrest Archer Memorial Building was built.  One of the tenants is the Western Ohio Home Builders Association, formally the Miami County Home Builders Association, of which Forrest Archer was one of the founding members.
